How to Email Users

You can email all users in the system, or on an individual or group basis within the Administrative side of the Learning Management System. *Note: If you are a Group Administrator you will only be able to email users within your group, not all users in the system. Only a Super Administrator can email all users.*

If you'd like to email all users follow these steps:

  1. From the Administrative side of the LMS navigate to the "Users" tab in the main navigation header.
  2. Then, select the "Manage Users" tab from the side navigation menu.
  3. Leave all information in the "Manager Users" box blank and select the "Search" button. This will redirect you to a search results page where all users will be displayed.
  4. To send an email to all users, select the check box located in the table header of the user results. Then, select the button "Email Selected User(s)." See image below.
  5. You will be redirected to a new page where you'll be able to write an email to all of your users. You can see all of your email recipients to the left of the message. Once you've finished writing your message you can select the button "Send Email." 

If you'd like to email a group of users follow these steps:

  1. From the Administrative side of the LMS navigate to the "Users" tab in the main navigation header.
  2. Then, select the "Manage Users" tab from the side navigation menu.
  3. From the drop-down menu in the "Manager Users" box select the group to which you'd like to send an email to and then select the "Search" button. This will redirect you to a search results page where all users within those groups will be displayed.
  4. To send an email to all users within the group, select the check box located in the table header of the user results (as shown above). Then, select the button "Email Selected User(s)." 
  5. You will be redirected to a new page where you'll be able to write an email to all of your users within the group you selected. You can see all of your email recipients to the left of the message. Once you've finished writing your message you can select the button "Send Email" (as shown above). 

If you'd like to email an individual user follow these steps:

  1. From the Administrative side of the LMS navigate to the "Users" tab in the main navigation header.
  2. Then, select the "Manage Users" tab from the side navigation menu.
  3. From the drop-down menu in the "Manager Users" box enter the user information of the individual user that you'd like to send an email to. Then, select the "Search" button. This will redirect you to a search results page where all users within those groups will be displayed.
  4. To send an email to a specific user, select the check box next to the user's name that you'd like to email. Then, select the button "Email Selected User(s)." 
  5. You will be redirected to a new page where you'll be able to write an email to the individual learner that you selected.  Once you've finished writing your message you can select the button "Send Email" (as shown above).
