CREATING A STYLE
Scormify offers you the ability to style your courses according to your branding needs. Once you have created a custom style, it will be available in the Style dropdown for selection.
Hint: For convenience, you can set any custom style to be selected by default when creating a new course. This can be done by going to your profile.
Scormify provides a default style, which is the basis for all user created custom styles. Follow the steps below to get started creating your own custom style.
Using Easy Mode will give you basic control over the look and feel of your course. Using dropdowns, you can style the following aspects of your course:
- Font (200 to select from, provided by Google Fonts).
- Text Color
- Background Color
- Complete Color
- Incomplete Color
While limited, you are able to style the basic elements of the course to your liking.
Hint: You can input hex color values into the form.
ADVANCED MODE (RECOMMENDED)
Advanced Mode gives you fine-grained control over the look of your course. The style engine uses SASS, which is a more robust version of CSS, to generate the stylesheet included in your course.
For assistance, Advanced Mode lays out several variables that can be modified with standard hex color values to cover high-level styling attributes that are also found in easy mode.
The course template is divided into three major sections, each with class that can be styled.
.top-sectionholds the course title and occupies the top 1/5 of the available course real-estate.
.video-container, which holds the video player. The
.middle-sectionoccupies the middle 3/5 of the available space.
.footerand occupies the lower 1/5 of the available space.
Advanced Mode, while recommended, is a power user feature and make take some experimentation before perfecting your style.
